anyway, my older sister was adopted when she was almost 16 (kinda on accident too), and because of that she got away from an abusive household, went from barely passing classes to being an honour student, and launching into a career where she’s happy and healthy and paying her own way. just two years of parenting where she had 3 meals a day, a bedtime, and parents to help and protect her changed her life radically. most of the trans people who get called trenders have dysphoria. and yeah i do mean actual dysphoria, as in significant and persistent distress or discomfort as a result of a disconnect between their agab and their actual gender, before you try to say it’s just dysmorphia or whatever
non dysphoric trans people usually have a disconnect that only causes minor distress, or they know they’re trans because of their euphoria – they don’t necessarily hate their agab, but they feel so much more comfortable as their true gender
some people are wrong about being trans, that’s not the same as faking. they’re just exploring their identity and they might be confused about things
if there really are people faking being trans for attention, they’re such an absolutely minuscule fraction of the population that they’re really not worth worrying about
transphobes don’t hate us because of trenders. even if all trans people were gender-conforming and tried to pass and were “normal” by your standards, trans people would still get bullied, harassed, assaulted, abused, raped, and murdered
any cis ally that will withdraw their allyship the minute a trans person doesn’t conform to their expectations was never an ally to begin with. real allyship isn’t conditional
if anything, spreading the idea that it’s okay to misgender and attack trans people as long as they don’t conform to your standards is encouraging transphobia way more than letting trans people exist and be themselves
