As promised in my last post, this is Minty’s story. He is a lovely mint colored dog with brown markings, he makes me think of Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. 🙂

I love your work and dedication! I have an old friend myself and to be honest, I’m afraid to wash him myself. Minty is about 21 years old, I got him for my first birthday and slept with him every night for about 12 years. He is part of an old line of plushies called Passport Pets and I can’t find anything about them!
Here are some of his diagnosis photos. You can see some of his original color in the last one:
I thought the discoloration was fading, which I can’t do much for, that’s just aging, but we agreed that Minty might enjoy a spa after so many years, and so he came to the hospital. Here he is in the bubble bath:
And it turned out, Minty was one of those patients who cleans up nice and shiny! You can already see his green coming back among the bubbles. Here’s his heart being made and installed (minty just like him):
And here he is ready to fly home:

Minty headed home yesterday, after sharing Thanksgiving with Teddy and the patients in the hospital. 🙂
