omg I forgot to tell y’all that the receptionist told us, when we got to the hospital, that they were super busy because they’d had 24 births the night before. Twenty four births. Apparently nobody uses protection on Valentine’s Day. (right now is roughly nine months after 2/14. so.)
We passed by the room where they keep the newborns and it was packed, y’all. Babies everywhere. I never wanna hear another “wahh nobody’s having kids anymore” article again because people most certainly are lmao
I mentioned this to another nurse and she went “oh yeah it was crazy. 24 births in the span of about 12 hours. it’s been non stop baby time over here” and I was just sitting there like omg? because that’s an average of 2 births per hour. that’s a very fast rate of births, considering birth itself usually takes hours. even a scheduled c section takes an hour at the least. goodness gracious people sure got busy this February didn’t they
my boyfriend and my brother are both mid-November babies. Mid-November is Peak Baby Season.
Humans actually do have a mating season and its funded by hallmark
My boyfriend and his brother have birthdays in mid-November 3 days apart, he didn’t like me pointing out that it’s about 9 months after Valentine’s Day
Always keep immigrants in your thoughts and prayers. Those who are considering crossing the border(s), those who have started their journey, and those who have made it to the other side. May their journey be a safe one. May they face no more violence. May they have food and water to get them through the long days and nights. And may they be able to find what/who they’re looking for when they arrive to the other side of the border.
